AEW Issues Legal Ultimatum to CM Punk

AEW was supposed to be a part of AEW’s major Collision announcement, but this did not happen due to Punk’s involvement. AEW may even change the location of Collision’s premiere episode from Chicago to Daily’s Place because of this, which may possibly result in a lawsuit.

In a Twitter Spaces conversation, Raj Giri said that AEW warned CM Punk. The company apparently stated that CM Punk must return to work, or they will sue him.

“AEW sent a legal notice to Punk yesterday that he either has to comply or they’re gonna file a suit against him.”

A while ago, AEW actually rehired Ace Steel, which was a point of contention with CM Punk. AEW was willing to re-hire Steel, but he was not allowed in the building for their television taping events, which Punk did not approve of initially. AEW initially denied that they rehired Ace Steel but has since confirmed doing so.

AEW also promised CM Punk and Ace Steel that he would be a producer on Collision, which now has also become a bone of contention.

The outcome of this situation remains to be seen. Obviously, there is a lot to unpack. CM Punk might be holding out for his friend Ace Steel, but he might face a legal issue if he does not return to work.

What’s your take on the current CM Punk situation? Do you think AEW will sue him? We would like to hear your thoughts on this in the comments below!
