AEW Plans to Utilize Orange Cassidy’s Talents Further

AEW’s decision to sign Orange Cassidy received mixed reactions from pro wrestling fans. However, as Freshly Squeezed defended the International Title, he started winning over the doubters. Nonetheless, Tony Khan has faced criticism over his promotion’s booking decisions, particularly concerning Cassidy’s continuous push. Nonetheless, a recent report suggests that there might be a method behind Khan’s madness, particularly concerning the International Championship.

When introduced, the title was known as the All-Atlantic Championship before being renamed the International Championship after backlash from fans. The fans questioned including Japan in a belt associated with the Atlantic Ocean, geographically distant from Japan. An insider report claims that Khan has been increasing the championship’s status strategically. This move is intended to showcase the championship prominently during the upcoming Collision event.

The debut of the AEW Collision show is set to take place on June 17th. It is yet to be determined where the episode will take place since Daily’s Place is the backup location if CM Punk declines to show up. Orange Cassidy is expected to continue his role in the company.
