Andrade El Idolo was expected to make a big impact in AEW, but his feuds have been forgettable despite some great matches. He had to take time off after undergoing surgery following an injury during a trios tag team match on House of The Dragon special edition of AEW Dynamite in August last year. However, it appears that he will soon be returning to the ring sooner than expected.
Despite his injury, Andrade worked hard during his time off and transformed himself. He will be making his return to AEW television on AEW Collision, even though he wasn’t aware that he was going to be on the show. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Andrade will be making his in-ring return two days before AEW Collision while working a show in Mexico.
“Andrade will be back in time because Andrade booked…Andrade is actually working a show in Mexico two days before, which I believe is going to be the first match back. So he should be back on that show and ready to go after his surgery to repair a torn pec.”
The debut of AEW Collision is just around the corner on June 17th, and fans are eagerly anticipating its arrival. It remains to be seen whether Andrade El Idolo will get the push he deserves this time around.
