FIA European Rally Championship

The ORLEN Rally of Poland marked the third round of the FIA European Rally Championship where Team MRF Tyres claimed a momentous victory. Martins Sesks and Renars Francis put on an impressive display as they dominated the event.

Starting the day with an 8.2 second lead, the dynamic Latvian duo remained unbeatable throughout the event and eventually increased their lead to almost 40 seconds driving their Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. It was their first victory of the season and the second of their career.

Thrilled with the outcome, Sesks expressed his gratitude to the team and backroom staff in India for all the assistance that helped him cross the finish line. “The Team MRF Tyres car was unbelievable this weekend. The MRF Tyres were just fantastic through the rally and gave me the confidence to push through! I am thrilled to take my second win in the FIA ERC,” he said. Sesks also stated his eagerness to return to Latvia for the next round of the championship.

Other point scorers for Team MRF Tyres were Efren Llarena, Denis Radstrom, Pontus Tidemand, and Simone Campedelli. Thanks to their impressive performances, Team MRF Tyres managed to maintain their lead in the teams championship, while Sesks moved up to second place in the driver’s championship.

Clinical performance: Renars Francis and Martins Sesks were the deserving winners of the Rally of Poland.
