Haney-Lomachenko Undercard Results: Abdullah Mason, Floyd Diaz, and Emiliano Vargas Claim Victory

Abdullah Mason, a lightweight prospect from Cleveland, Ohio, won in six rounds against Desmond Lyons. With hand speed and excellent footwork, Mason (8-0, 7 KOs) dominated the match, throwing jabs and following up with left hooks. Referee Robert Hoyle stopped the fight on the sixth round, seeing that Lyons (8-3, 2 KOs) was outworked and hit with a series of punches.

Floyd “Cashflow” Diaz, a junior featherweight prospect from Las Vegas, achieved a unanimous decision victory over Luis Saavedra of San Luis Potosi in Mexico. In the fifth round, Saavedra developed a nasty cut on his right eye but continued to press forward. Despite his bloody state, Saavedra finished strong, but the judges all gave the win to Diaz (80-72, 80-72, and 79-73).
