HS Prannoy Achieves Career-high World No. 7 Ranking, Treesa-Gayatri Take 15th Spot in Women’s Doubles

Indian badminton player HS Prannoy has achieved his career-best world number seven ranking in men’s singles, according to the latest BWF ranking released on Tuesday.

Commonwealth Games bronze medallists Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand have also climbed up two spots to become world number 15 women’s doubles pair in the latest list.

Prannoy has earned 66,147 points from 17 tournaments and remains the highest-ranked Indian singles player. He is followed by double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, who also improved a spot to be ranked at number 11 in women’s singles.

Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth, among other Indians in men’s singles, have exchanged places, taking the 22nd and 23rd spots, respectively.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have slipped two places to seventh in men’s doubles.

No other Indian player has been ranked inside the top 20 in the latest BWF rankings.
