Rolly Romero Confirms Ryan Garcia Fight Will Happen

Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero has confirmed that he will fight Ryan Garcia next and that the fight will be huge on pay-per-view. The WBA light welterweight champion expressed his desire to fight only Ryan in his first title defense, and then move up to the 147 weight class to campaign against the IBF/WBA/WBC champion, Errol Spence.

Barroso, who recently lost to Rolly via controversial ninth-round stoppage, will not be getting a rematch because Rolly has his sights set on fighting Ryan. Despite this, Ryan has remained quiet on social media, indicating that he is considering taking up Rolly’s offer.

Rolly admitted that he is excited about the fight and is confident of his victory. He also suggested that if the fight against Ryan doesn’t happen, then Mayweather Promotions could set up another fight for him at 140, as he plans to stay at this weight for at least two fights to take full advantage of being a champion.

Rolly, who bragged about being rich and his recent win against Ismael Barroso, said that Ryan will be the only fighter on his mind and that he will do everything possible to make the fight happen. The newly crowned WBA light welterweight champion predicted that he and Ryan will be fighting each other at 140 lbs. and assured fans that it is going to be the most entertaining fight in boxing.
