Andy Murray pulls out of French Open, joining Rafael Nadal and Nick Kyrgios

Andy Murray has announced his withdrawal from the French Open, making him the latest high-profile tennis player to drop out of the competition. He joins Rafael Nadal and Nick Kyrgios, who have also withdrawn recently.

Murray, a former world No. 1 player, cited a lack of preparation as the reason for his withdrawal. He had been struggling with a groin injury and admitted that he was not yet ready to compete at the level required for the tournament.

This news comes as a disappointment to fans who were looking forward to seeing Murray play at the French Open, which he won in 2016. However, Murray remains optimistic about his future in the sport and is focusing on his recovery and upcoming tournaments.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal, a 13-time French Open champion, withdrew due to a lingering foot injury, while Nick Kyrgios cited mental health concerns as his reason for pulling out.

The French Open, which is held annually at Roland Garros in Paris, is one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world. Despite the recent withdrawals, the competition is still expected to feature many of the sport’s top players, including Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams.
