Former NCAA Hockey Player, Carson Briere, Will Face Court Charges After Wheelchair Incident

Carson Briere, a former NCAA Division I hockey player and the son of Philadelphia Flyers general manager Danny Briere, is set to face criminal charges after an incident with a wheelchair and a staircase. His former university hockey team expelled him due to his conduct during the incident, which raised concerns about his character.

As per Mark Scheig from The Hockey Writers, Briere is expected to appear in court on Monday morning on charges of conspiracy, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. It is not yet clear if these accusations are related to the wheelchair incident or to some other unlawful actions of Briere.

Regardless of the cause of the allegations, the consequences of Briere’s conduct will undoubtedly be severe. Many believe that such repercussions are warranted.

If Carson Briere hopes to continue his hockey career, he must significantly improve his character and behavior.
