Gosen Inferno Raid Racket Review

The Gosen Inferno Raid racket has garnered positive reviews from players for being an excellent choice in fast and powerful doubles games. The racket excels in both attack and defense, making it a versatile option for aggressive players.

The racket features an aerodynamic fast frame sword cross-section and a unique wave structure that strengthens the build. With its balanced 3U head weight, the racket is both quick and powerful. The total playing weight of the racket, including grip and strings, is 86.8g, and its headweight is 40.6g, making it slightly lower than other 3U headweight rackets.

The Inferno Raid is strung with GT5 mains and Zymax Fire 62F crosses at 24×26 lbs, producing unexpectedly solid power shots. Clears, drives, and counter-attacks are notably more repulsive than other comparable rackets–by around 5-10%. This effect is due to the racket’s frame contract and expands in the instant of shuttle strike, making the shuttle more efficiently explode off the stringbed. It may be subtle with other rackets, but it is much more noticeable with the Inferno Raid, making play more addictive and enjoyable. Additionally, it is easy to perform defensive lifts and counterattacks as the racket swings quickly, allowing you to get the racket head wherever it needs to be promptly.

The racket is quite stiff, similar to the AX99, but the shaft is still quite usable. The unique frame provides most of the power, while the touch and feel are nice, and feedback is direct, making it easy to make micro-adjustments to the power and direction of shots during play. Nevertheless, it is necessary to take some care when performing net shots as the fast frame requires precision.

If you’re considering the Gosen Inferno Raid racket, keep in mind that it comes with attractive matte red paint, which looks slightly holographic and is aesthetically pleasing!
