Jerry Lawler’s Health Struggle Continues After Suffering Stroke

Jerry Lawler, also known as “The King” and a WWE Hall of Famer, is still facing health challenges after suffering a stroke earlier this year. Although he doesn’t appear as frequently as before, Lawler is still one of the most beloved commentators in the pro wrestling world.

In 2012, during a Monday Night RAW broadcast, Lawler suffered a heart attack that almost took his life, and Michael Cole took his place in the commentator’s booth. Since then, his health struggles have been a source of worry for fans.

Lawler was rushed to the hospital in February after experiencing paralysis just before his stroke. He underwent surgery and was expected to make a full recovery soon. However, he had another surgery recently, and his friend and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross says he is still “not out of the woods.”

“I talked to Lawler just the other day. He’s still struggling with his health. He’s got good doctors and they think they pinpointed a lot of the issues, but he’s not out of the woods yet as far as getting back to a good degree of health. As always when we talk, his voice starts off a little bit weak and then it gets stronger as he talks and we laugh and we tell stories with each other.”

Despite his health issues, Lawler made an appearance via a pre-taped video message at the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame during Andy Kaufman’s induction speech.

Our thoughts are with Jerry Lawler during his recovery, and we hope he makes a full recovery soon. Do you share our concerns? Let us know in the comments!
