Kevin De Bruyne’s words will frighten Premier League rivals Man Utd and Arsenal

Manchester City clinched their fifth Premier League title in six years after defeating Chelsea 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, and also their third consecutive championship.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal had been leading the title race with an eight-point benefit over Manchester City at the beginning of April, but City’s quality ultimately prevailed as they won their ninth Premier League trophy.

Kevin De Bruyne, who recently turned 32, was once again instrumental to the Catalan’s team, creating a deadly attacking partnership with the record-breaking Erling Haaland. De Bruyne claims that the Club’s pursuit of silverware and their hunger for success will only increase in the coming seasons.

He stated: “We thrive on winning and never tire of it. We have won a lot in the past, but we crave ongoing victory. I am confident that our future will be no different.”

“Winning three times in a row is amazing. It is tough work, but we deserve it. We have the hunger, the correct mentality, and a great team,” he continued.

Pep Guardiola’s squad has three remaining Premier League warm-up matches before attempting to clinch the treble of Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League trophies in June. Manchester City will face Manchester United in the FA Cup final on June 3rd before taking on Inter Milan in a Champions League final a week later.

“The league standings don’t lie – we were the best. Arsenal was fantastic, particularly in the first half of the season,” revealed De Bruyne.

“But, in the end, we deserve this triumph. We came back stronger and emerged as winners of many games.”

“We should enjoy the celebration with all our supporters, then focus on Manchester United and Inter Milan and aim to achieve something special.”
