Manchester United in Talks for Neymar Transfer as Sheikh Jassim May Win Takeover Race

Manchester United are reportedly in active discussions with PSG to secure the services of Neymar, with the player expressing his desire to move away from the French side. Talks about a potential deal suggest that Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani could be favored to purchase the English club from the Glazers, adding fuel to the speculations surrounding his transfer plans.

L’Equipe reports that United has initiated talks with PSG regarding a potential transfer deal for the 31-year-old forward. PSG is said to be inclined towards accepting a permanent transfer, while Neymar is keen on finding a new challenge outside France.

The report also suggests that PSG could agree to a loan offer with United contributing to Neymar’s salary, with or without an option to buy.

It is rumored that Erik ten Hag’s midfield general Casemiro is in touch with Neymar to persuade him to make the switch to Old Trafford.

If the Brazil international moves to United, it could provide a substantial indication of the direction in which the takeover saga of the club is headed.
