NBA May Alter the All-Star Game Format for Increased Competitiveness

The NBA is currently contemplating significant modification to the All-Star Game format, including changes from the current Player Draft to the Eastern versus Western conference. This has been a subject of recent Board of Governor and GM meetings following this year’s ASG.

Sources report that the NBA and NBPA have, in recent months, agreed to talks about heightened competitiveness in the All-Star Game, as part of a new collective bargaining agreement. Changes may be implemented for the 2023-24 season.
