Sonal Patil secured her spot in the final match of the Rs.100,000 AITA women’s tennis tournament by beating top seed Sahira Singh with a score of 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 in the semifinals held at Joygaon Academy in Jhajjar on Thursday.
The other semifinal match saw Kashish Bhatia struggle to close out a win against Divya Bhardwaj, even though she had two match points at 6-1, 5-1. Kashish eventually claimed the victory with a score of 6-1, 7-5.
