In a highly competitive fight between Chantelle Cameron and Katie Taylor, Cameron displayed an aggressive style and did not back down despite Taylor’s counterattacks. Despite Taylor landing 46% of her power punches, Cameron was able to land more power punches than Taylor in 60% of the rounds, ultimately landing a total of 24 more power punches than Taylor throughout the entire fight.

The fight took place at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland and was for the WBO, WBC, IBF, IBO, and WBA junior welterweight titles. The judges’ scores were 95-95, 96-94, and 96-94, all in favor of Cameron.

With this loss, Taylor, who was previously the undisputed world champion at 135-pounds, may pursue a rematch or move down to defend her titles.
