CM Punk Speaks Out Against Misleading AEW Reports

CM Punk, who was expected to make a return to AEW, has voiced his opinion on recent reports of trouble between him and the company.

It appears that CM Punk was removed from an AEW announcement at the last minute after a report emerged that the company and Punk had hit a snag over the re-hiring of Ace Steel.

Punk took to Instagram to express his frustration with reports, particularly those by Bryan Alvarez, which he called out for being inaccurate and clickbaity.

“Look everyone, Bryan Alverez doesn’t like it when misinformed internet trolls make up rumors about him so please stop making up rumors and stories for clicks while Bryan makes up rumors and stories for clicks okay? He’s married for gods sake! By gawd that man has a family!!! (Bryan alverez shut the f*ck up and stop talking about me challenge day 1)

Friendly reminder: I haven’t been on tv in nine months and y’all still just can’t stop talking about me. Maybe stop, you’ll feel better. Love, hate, it’s all the same. I don’t enjoy being the sole person that props up entire misinformed clickbait industry based on toxic gossip from lying sources, but what can you do? When you’re the king, it comes with the crown.”

It remains to be seen what will happen next between CM Punk and AEW. He may still play a part in the big announcement planned for Dynamite tonight, or his time with the company may have come to an end. Regardless, Punk has made it clear that he is not a fan of the misleading rumors that seem to surround him.
