Edge, Rey Mysterio, and AJ Styles to Compete for Another Shot at World Championship

On Monday night, the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament kicked off with an exciting start. Seth “Freakin” Rollins survived two brutal matches to become the first confirmed contender for the new title at WWE Night of Champions.

This Friday, two Triple Threat Matches will take place, with the winners competing in the main event for the chance to become world champion by facing The Visionary.

Edge, Rey Mysterio, and AJ Styles all have experience in being world champions. Together, the three have accumulated 16 world titles in WWE, with Edge alone winning 11 world championships.

The three Superstars share an impressive history, with Edge and Rey Mysterio having held tag team gold together and battled it out on many other memorable occasions. Edge and Styles had their own issues settled last year, with two unforgettable matches at WrestleMania 38 and WrestleMania Backlash respectively. Mysterio and Styles have also fought in the past for the United States Title. The three stars have never shared the ring together until now.

With these stars taking part in the Triple Threat Match, it is bound to be an impressive and unforgettable event.
