Noel Gallagher, the famous musician and Manchester City fan, has made a sarcastic jab towards Arsenal, claiming that they “handed” City the Premier League title by losing to Nottingham Forest. He then went on to label the Arsenal fanbase as “idiots”.
Gallagher spoke on TalkSPORT and said, “I didn’t actually go on Sunday [to see City lift the trophy] because I didn’t think Arsenal would hand it to us on Saturday!
“Winning it against them is beyond everybody’s wildest dreams, and the fact that Arsenal handed it to us made it even sweeter because they were celebrating it in January.
“I think it might have been one of Pep Guardiola’s greatest achievements. He’s done a brilliant job, having lost Cancelo and with Haaland still settling in, and congratulations to them all. It’s thoroughly deserved.
“It’s all about being there. Arsenal were top for most of the season, but it’s the last six games that count.
“You could tell the air had gone out of Arsenal’s balloon after we beat them.
“I love it with that lot – their fans are idiots!”
