Rafael Nadal Withdraws from French Open 2023 Due to Hip Injury, Plans to Retire Next Year

Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal has announced his withdrawal from the French Open 2023 due to a hip injury. Nadal, who is known for his exceptional clay court skills, has won a record 13 French Open titles in his career, including the last four editions.

In a statement, Nadal said that he has been struggling with the hip injury for some time and it has become too severe to continue playing at the highest level. He also expressed his disappointment at not being able to defend his title at Roland Garros.

However, the 37-year-old also hinted at his impending retirement from professional tennis. He stated that he expects 2024 to be his final year on the tour and that he wants to make the most of the time he has left.
