Top 4 Dunkest Teams
1. Balanced Rookie Team
- Dunkest team: Rookie (free)
- Budget: 95 credits
This team is balanced in every area and does not have any star player. However, it comprises of interesting players that are looking for redemption. For example, Nurkic made an impact in the past season despite the low playing time and may be one of the revelations of the year for quality/price ratio. Without Leonard, Morris will be the second offensive terminal after Paul George; M. Porter Jr. will be requested to confirm the excellent 2020/21 season; Dinwiddie and K. Porter Jr. will have the chance to finally prove their talent. For the bench, we bet on players with high playing time (Tucker, Carter Williams, and Rondo) to lead to capital gain.
2. Extraordinary Rookie Team
- Dunkest team: Rookie (free)
- Budget: 95 credits
This team is unbalanced and comprises of few top players. Capela is the center with the best quality/price ratio. It is George’s year of the consecration, considering Leonard’s absence for most of the season. With coach Donovan, all Ball can do is improve after the poor performance with the Pelicans. Kuzma can take advantage of Hachimura’s absence and from the “leading” role. We made risky but reasonable choices for the bench: Ntilikina might play some minutes in Dallas; Giannis’ brother could have space both in garbage time and in point-to-point games. The other 3 bench players could scrape together minutes, statistical data, and consequent capital gain.
3. Balanced MVP Team
- Dunkest team: MVP ($14.99)
- Budget: 105 credits
This is one of the most fruitful Dunkest strategies: a balanced and strong roster, without 20 credits top players but with ready-to-explode ones like Ball and Porter Jr. Capela is one of the top centers in the price range of 14-15 credits and should benefit from Trae Young’s assists. Plumlee, Morris, and Brogdon could deliver DD. Campazzo will be a starter in the first games without Murray. The rest of the team aims for a few points and capital gain from G1.
4. Extraordinary MVP Team Jokic
- Dunkest team: MVP ($14.99)
- Budget: 105 credits
The cornerstone of this roster is Nikola Jokic, of course. Stewart is supposed to deliver DD and Dunkest points. It is Harris and Dinwiddie’s year of consecration, in two franchises that will be protagonists. Barnes is a decent forward who, in the last season, often nearly scored a DD. Ntilikina and Caruso will have minutes and points in Dallas and Chicago, as well as Winslow. Exum and Aminu are two bets worth trying.
